Follow Up Based on Your Target Market

If your clients are older, then a card in the mail may be the best way to connect and reconnect with them. An estate planning lawyer I know mailed 300 cards to her current client base for a free seminar and here are her numbers:

  • Generated 91 reservations
  • 90 attendees
  • 18 appointments
  • Retained 4 restatements/ amendments
  • 11 funeral trusts

This lawyer was able to generate $59,420 in NEW sales thus far from CURRENT clients! All this from 300 cards in the mail.

Increase Sales With Customer Follow Up

Faced with an overload of offers, specials and often over-the-top marketing, consumers usually choose to do business with folks that they’re familiar with.  Great customer relationships are at the core of every successful business! It’s vital that you follow up with your clients – build relationships, get referrals, stay connected! Follow up often enough to make your business the “go-to” resource for all of your clients’ needs.  Say thanks for a recent order, announce an upcoming sale, introduce new products, or share important information such as warranty details.   Instead of sending the traditional business letter, why not follow up with a greeting card? A follow up card is a unique way to grab your client’s attention, which can result in increased sales!

Follow up with Clients During the Holidays

Get a jump on the competition! Instead of sending holiday cards in December as most people and businesses do, why not send out Thanksgiving cards in November?  Thank your clients for their business and wish them a happy, healthy holiday season.  Sending cards is a small, inexpensive gesture that can have a big impact.  When your corporate card is opened, your company will be thought of and a positive association will be formed - an association that will spring to mind when you follow up with that client in the New Year.  Sending cards before the December deluge will get you noticed and let you stand out from everyone else!

Follow up after your Application

College admissions season is now in full swing. Don’t forget to send a follow-up card to thank the person who interviewed you. They've see a ton of nervous high school seniors and receiving a thank you card from you afterward will really help you stand out from the crowd! While you’re at it, a follow up thank you to any teachers or alumni who provided recommendations for you also shows that you’re a class act.

Follow up For Actors and Entertainers

So you just auditioned for the role of a lifetime, along with 100s of other ingénues; what do you do to make a lasting impression on the director and casting department? Send a follow up thank you card, with your headshot right on the front of the card! Inside, thank them for the privilege of auditioning for them; remind them of the song you sang or the monologue you delivered; and give them your contact details so that its super easy to follow up with you – no need for them to dig through piles of resumes and headshots!
